At 55, Woman to Mother Twins

Chandigarh: At the age of 55, Kawaljeet Kaur Gowara will be a mother once again after 26 years. And it will be twins this time, as she has undergone in-vitro fertilization successfully.

A resident of Panchkula, Kaur had lost her son last year in a road accident and she decided to be mother again at an age when fertility generally declines.

8 Testing years later, a test tube baby

Chandigarh : After eight years, Neha and Manish (names changed on request)  became proud parents of a bonny baby girl on Saturday. This, after doctors  elsewhere, including experts at PGI had told Neha to give up hope of being able to deliver a child. Ever.

The child, a test tube baby, who lay fast asleep at her mother’s beside when Times News Network visited her at the nursing home, was born at Bedi Nursing Home and Infertility Centre, Sector 33.
